Fatherhood Initiative

Supporting fathers in recovery through meaningful work, mentorship, and community connection. Building pathways that help fathers rebuild trust, develop skills, and show up for their families.

The Vision

Fathers in Recovery

Recovery is about more than sobriety—it's about rebuilding relationships, especially with children. Fathers in recovery need pathways that help them demonstrate reliability, earn trust, and create stability.

  • Structured work opportunities
  • Mentorship from other fathers
  • Community connection

Why C8?

C8's community work model is built for exactly this: giving people in recovery meaningful roles that develop real skills while benefiting their neighborhoods.

"The best thing a father can do is show up consistently. C8 creates opportunities to do exactly that—in the community, for the community."

The Partnership

How C8 and Lexington Leadership Foundation's Fatherhood Initiative can work together.

1

Referral Pipeline

Fathers in the LLF program can be referred to C8 for community work opportunities as part of their reintegration.

2

Mentorship Bridge

Experienced C8 advocates can mentor fathers, sharing practical wisdom about balancing work, recovery, and family.

3

Family-Friendly Projects

Community projects where fathers can involve their children—neighborhood cleanups, events, and visible positive work.

The Ask

We want to build a meaningful partnership between C8 and the Lexington Leadership Foundation's Fatherhood Initiative. Fathers in recovery face unique challenges—balancing accountability, family rebuilding, and finding meaningful work.

C8 can provide a pathway for fathers in the program to find community work opportunities, mentorship from others who've walked this road, and projects where they can involve their children in visible, positive work.
